Adults and Children invited. Feel free to bring any games you like to play; we'll also have some games. We have a Wii and a Wii Fit, so feel free to bring your favorite games and/or extra remotes. Please review the list of food/drinks requested and choose what you would like to bring. You can also make a little note next to your RSVP of what you might be bringing. See everyone there!!!

Shrimp Salsa

Shrimp Salsa

2 pounds boiled shrimp, peeled, deveined

(I used frozen cocktail shrimp)

4 or 5 avocados, chopped

8 small tomatoes, chopped

½ cup chopped fresh cilantro

6 green onions, chopped

2 to 4 jalapeño chiles, seeded, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

1 jar cocktail seafood sauce

¼ cup ketchup

Salt to taste

Fresh ground pepper to taste

Combine the shrimp, avocados, tomatoes, cilantro, green onions,

jalapeño chiles and lime juice in a bowl and mix gently. Stir in the

seafood sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper. Chill, covered, until

serving time. Serve with (thick) tortilla chips.

This makes a lot. You may want to half it if you’re just making it

for your own family.

POF Valentine Wine Tasting

On another note, based on the favorable response this past Sunday, Rene’ has already booked the Wine Tasting party on Valentine’s Day at 8:00 at Tony’s Wine Bar. We need at least 20 and up to 40 people for the night. If we want food with the wine, we need to order a week or so ahead of time. We will give out more information over the next few weeks. Let us know, if/when you are in.

Take 190 (George Bush) east.

Take the North Garland Ave exit (the sign may say Garland Ave N).

Turn left on North Garland.

Turn right on Muirfield ( just after passing a Baptist church).

Turn right at the second stop sign (Rivercove Drive).

Our house is on the left just before the street curves

and just after you pass Thunderbrook.

Another clue is that we currently have no trees in the front yard!
